Illiterate Cyborgs

I realise that there has been a slight delay for my next blog and I flatter myself in thinking that you are all very disappointed in me for depriving you from such literary delight and for that, I apologise. Now, this is usually the part in which I give you some excuse to why my blogs disappeared into the depths of cyber space or as you may call it, ‘the internet’. BUT, just to mix things up a little, I’m not going to. Ooooh!

What’s that you say? ‘That’s just because I don’t have a good enough excuse.’ God no, if I had an excuse at all, I would be able to exaggerated it into some gripping page turner, which would probably include an illiterate, emotionally drained cyborg who had issues with her Daddy, or something along those lines. … That was my way of telling you that I don’t have an excuse.

This is a supposed ’cyborg’ for those of you who don’t know (that’s including myself, I just liked the sound of the word) It is supposedly a human/animal, with robotic parts.

So now, what you are probably all thinking is. ‘But, MissLeighton*, what could possibly ever cause you to write another blog, we thought we had lost you forever and ever’ HAHA I’m joking. I know that thought never crossed any of your minds, but I’m going to answer the question anyway. Yesterday, I was at a book signing for one of my favourite journalists. The book consisted of a collection of his work since 2009 and whilst I was reading this, I thought, hey, this stuff is pretty good, I wonder if I could write like that. I have been trying to write like that, without scaring off younger readers with a foul mouth, but then it dawned on me that, if I wrote like my favourite journalist, then I would not be writing like me. And I like how I write. That is why I have a blog, because i’m comfortable with the way I write and I want to improvemy techniques, not totally change them so I can be less unique.

This blog didn’t really have a point, it was just a little, pointless rant. So, I hope you enjoyed my little, pointless rant.

*I’m still being pretty adamant about the whole anonymous thing.
