Procrastination

I know, I haven’t written a blog for a while, however it is not because of procrastination that I have failed in writing my usual witty, amusing and interesting piece. I want to say that it is because I lack inspiration or nothing worth writing about has actually happened to me recently, but then I would be lying to you and even worse, myself. As some of you may know (I’m reasoning with myself that the majority of people reading this are either friends or family) my dad has broken his leg, I have recently turned 15, the olympics have just started (I’m sure that everyone knew that, not just my friends and family) and many other amusing little things … not that the shattering of my dad’s ankle is amusing.

And also, I don’t consider this blog something that I have to do. My dad does, but I don’t. I consider this blog a luxury which I can do in my spare time. So now it is the summer holidays, I have a lot more of spare time, so hopefully there will be a lot more blogs coming your way. I’m not trying to excuse myself for not writing any blogs, this is partly because I don’t have a proper excuse and I see no point in lying to anyone, but it is also because if I can’t think of anything to write about that I think I can write about well, I don’t see any point in writing about anything at all because I don’t want anything I have written to be on here when I know it is not as good as I can make it. For instance, I regret putting my blog ‘My Mum Makes Macaroons’online because I know it is not my best work and it is fairly dull.

There wasn’t really a point to this blog, I just wanted something to do while I wait for the insurance company to save us from the hotel lobby. But that is a story to be saved for another blog, should I ever get round to writing it
