My Mum Makes Macaroons
in Archive
Macaroons. Macaroons macaroons macaroons. Ooh, it’s hard to say after a while. Sounds weird. Well yes, anyway, as you may have guessed from my subtle hints this blog is about macaroons. But not just any macaroons, my mother’s homemade macaroons. These macaroons were unlike any I have ever tasted, however this could be because the recipe was a combination of the ones my mum could find over the internet, deciding that a single recipe would be insufficient.
So after trying these quirky macaroons, I was soon addicted, and this addiction
was well-provided for since my mum would supply batch after batch of these delicious little macaroon shells – which I would use my ninja skills to steal – until they were absolutely perfect.

When I walked down marylebone high street on one sunny afternoon I walked past the pastry shop ‘Paul’s‘ which usually never fails to make my mouth water, but as I stared into the shop window that day I noticed the much-loved chocolate macaroons which I usually beg my parents to buy were an astonishing price which I dare not speak (partly because the internet has failed in telling me the price.) This confused both me and my mother since the macaroons my mother makes cost an average 50p. BUT I did not start writing this blog to talk/write about finance and so I shall bore you no more, assuming that I have not bored you with the non-finance part of this blog. However before I end this blog, I need to ask a favour. If anyone knows what flavour the blue macaroon is, please tell me!
So with that I shall leave you pondering this very important subject, and I hope you don’t have to wait for as long for my next blog as you did for this one … the one about macaroons.
